Bite Me - The Baddest Sexy Vampires of Film and Television

There has always been a romanticism associated with vampires, maybe it is their ability to put a maiden into a trance, or it might be the nuzzling of the neck that strikes home with its erotic undertones. Whatever it is, vampires have been beguiling ladies for a long time. If you love vampires, I'd say you have a favourite and I'm not talking Edward (if he floats your boat, you are on the website), so let's cosy up in the dark, bare our throats and explore the 'bad boy' vampires who you wouldn't mind being snacked on by....

Severen - Near Dark 1987

Severen is a character from the 1987 classic vampire film Near Dark, played by the late Bill Paxton (Aliens, Twister). Severen is the epitome of the bad boy vampire. Unapologetically brutal, damn sexy and a thirst for blood that can't be quenched. If you think this bad boy is going to show you any mercy, think again. This cowboy/bikie hybrid considers you nothing but a warm meal, and he likes playing with his food first, but not in a good way.

David - The Lost Boys 1987

David is the leader of a gang of vampires from the 1987 film The Lost Boys played by Keifer Sutherland (Flatliners, Mirrors, Stand By Me). David is edgy, in control and a touch arrogant. He has no qualms with who or what he is. David likes to party and menace his prey. This alternative, grungy bad boy, might consider turning you, but you'd really have to catch his eye and whet his appetite.

Deacon Frost - Blade 1998

Deacon Frost is a character from the 1998 film Blade played by Stephen Dorff (Alone in the Dark, Cold Creek Manor) Deacon has an ego as big as his lust for blood. He is the entrepreneur of vampires, with a penchant for partying and a strong distaste for the old world. This sauve bad boy might turn you if you look like you stepped off the cover of Vogue Magazine, but even then, he is just going to use you, abuse you and mistreat you, so best eat a lot of garlic and stay away.

Lestat de Lioncourt - Interview with the Vampire 1994

Lestat de Lioncourt is a character from the 1994 film Interview with the Vampire based on the books by Anne Rice, and played by Tom Cruise. (Risky Business, Mission: Impossible, Eyes Wide Shut) Lestat is the devil incarnate, intelligent, worldly and vain. The Brat Prince has a penchant for either sex, but you would have to enchant him enough that he would want to spend an eternity with you to have him turn you. Are you interesting enough to do that?

Armand - Interview with the Vampire 1994

Armand is a character also from the 1994 film Interview with the Vampire, based on the books by Anne Rice and played by Antonio Banderas (Original Sin, The Mask of Zorro, The 13th Warrior). Don't let his angelic looks fool you, Armand is the head of a vampire coven in Paris, he is the ultimate gas lighter, hungry for both love and blood, he will use his beauty and charm to manipulate you to get what he wants. He is powerful and can be very cruel - you have been warned.

Jerry Dandridge - Fright Night 1985

Jerry Dandridge is a character from the 1985 film Fright Night, played by Chris Sarandon (The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Stranger Within). Jerry is an old-school vampire, you have to invite him into your home before he can chow down on your neck. Forever charming, this handsome cad is charismatic and alluring, but for this bad boy, you have to look like his long-lost love before he will consider turning you. An apple a day won't keep this vampire away.

Dracula - Dracula 2020

Dracula is a character in the 2020 3-part television series Dracula played by Claes Bang (The Square, The Northman). This portrayal of Dracula is the quintessential blood sucking bad boy, charming, devilishly handsome and very thirsty. Manipulation is his superpower, and brutality is his middle name. Would he turn you? Probably not, but would it be worth finding out? Damn straight, I'm more than willing to bleed out.

Eric Northman - True Blood 2008 - 2014

Eric Northman is a character on the television series True Blood, which aired from 2008 - 2014, played by Alexander Skarsgård (Infinity Pool, The Northman). Eric was a Viking warrior turned into a vampire. He is charming and witty but has a ruthless nature. He can be loyal to the ones he deems fit, but this ancient, powerful vampire eventually gets what he wants and fits the bad boy status because he will use whatever means to get it. If you are looking to be turned by this Viking bad boy, a touch of faerie blood in your veins wouldn't go astray.

Spike - Buffy The Vampire Slayer 1997 - 2003

Spike is a character from the television series Buffy The Vampire Slayer, which aired from 1997 - 2003 and was played by James Marsters (Angel, Dragon Ball Revolution). Spike is a complex vampire; his rebellious nature and lust for blood definitely define him as the bad boy vampire. But this Billy Idol blood sucking clone does eventually sway to the good side, so there just is a chance you might curb his appeitite enough that he doesn't drain you.
